There are many trails to choose from. Here are some of our favorites:
Patten Stream

Close to Falls Farmstead, this is a magical place for forest bathing and dipping your feet into a cool stream to refresh your spirit. On a hot day, when hiking up a mountain is out of the question, or if you need a respite from more arduous explorations and the crowds of ANP, the shade of the forests, mosses and ferns will impart a sense of peaceful calm. Patten Stream leaps and meanders through 41 acres of conservation property. The parking area is connected to the South Loop Trail, which is connected to the North Loop Trail by a short spur trail. Total distance for a round trip hike of both loops is 1.5 miles. Combine it with a trip to the Surry Town Wharf and Pugnuts Ice Cream on the Surry Wharf Road. Then on to the beach at Newberry Neck.

Penobscot Community Forest at Wallamatogus Mountain

This 336-acre property in Penobscot, Maine is on the south slope of Wallamatogus Mountain (Togus). Visitors can hike over 2 miles of roads through blueberry fields with spectacular views of Penobscot Bay, coastal islands, and the whole Bagaduce River watershed. Public access is available from the trailhead at the top of Mill Creek Rd in Penobscot, just before the dump gate. The parking lot has a capacity for 5 vehicles.
Cooper Farm at Caterpillar Hill

The view from Rt. 15 in Sedgwick is prized by both residents and visitors. A scenic turnout maintained by the Department of Transportation provides a safe place for visitors to pull off the road. The view overlooks the open fields and forest owned by the Trust and, Eggemoggin Reach, the islands of Penobscot Bay, and the Camden Hills. You can pick blueberries here in July and August. If you are on your way to Deer Isle or Stonington, stop here along the way. The view is magnificent.
